Everything is turning around,

I have worked for over a year at my meaningless desk job.
Dealing with rig workers and farmers day in and day out.
And have worked 7 nights a week since January. Ok so I'm
used to that, but when you never see the sun except for it
rising and falling and have doubles whenever someone needs
a day off your body starts to wear down and you definitely feel
the effects. I can't even remember what having a holiday feels
like, as I have worked doubles every holiday since Christmas,
just so everyone else could enjoy their social events. The owner
was grateful for having a devoted employee, but he got sick,
and I really feel bad for him but what can you do? But he
brought in this pigheaded manager, with no clue how to run a
hotel, and no knowledge of how much I sacrificed for the owner.
To say the least it's truly ungratifying now.
BUT... Finally I have confirmation that my own business that began
way back in June is going to be moving forward again.
This means a lot to me after 6 years of trying to start it,
and 7 years of talking about it, and many other significant
points involved.

I hate writing novels in journals, but I'm so bloody exuberant,
that I want to run around and scream. To work towards a dream
for so long that it seems an impossibility which finally becomes a reality
is almost hard to grasp. Needless to say, I have given the manager
a month and a half notice and will be taking a holiday for
Christmas. You may not understand how happy this makes me.

So:
Imagine yourself going into a countryclub where you can enjoy
the company of everyone around you, and eventually you give
them your word to stay for a while to help them all out...
Now you realize that you have become indispensable, and
simply leaving will place the club in a bad situation.
You can't do that to them, because now they are your social life,
and work. But then something happens and you find yourself
almost imprisoned, and then the people around you leave one by
one and are replaced by disreputable liars, scam artists and
generally unsavory characters. Now everything that you enjoyed
about the place is gone, your friends, the atmosphere, and your
duties become tiresome. It's not that friendly countryclub you
walked into, but somehow this place has become a prison that
you are now confined to. Unfortunately the door, leading to your
friends and family, Your life and goals, has been open the
entire time, but leaving would mean breaking your word,
the only thing that you can hold onto anymore.

Now you know, so now I go.
